Join us on September 30th from 1pm to 4pm at Canon's Headquarters for a FREE workshop designed to take your business to the next level.  

Boost your business is a workshop for creative business owners that already sell on Etsy and want to learn more about branding, photography and social media to get more sales and grow! Canon and Etsy will help give you the “boost” needed to get motivated and excited about the next phase of your business. We will show you how branding and photography are two of the most important aspects of any online business.

 

 

What can you expect? 

Arounna and Melissa will give you the tools you need to brand and market your business to boost your sales. Tristan will teach you how to take photos like a pro using natural light and studio light. There will be a touch and try session, you're encouraged to bring your camera!

Light refreshments will be provided.

Arounna Khounnoraj

Arounna received her art education from The Ontario College of Art, Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and an MFA from University of Waterloo. She has received numerous awards from The Ontario Arts Council, Toronto Arts Council and The Ontario Craft Council. She has exhibited her work in solo and group shows across North America and Europe. Her work is in public and private collections. She currently resides in Toronto and runs her design business bookhou with her husband John and their children Lliam and Piper. She currently has 99+K followers and one of the biggest followings on social media.

Melissa Lowry

Melissa is a graphic designer & event planner who is passionate about all things handmade. She received an Honours Bachelor Degree on Graphic Design from the joint program at York University and Sheridan College. She is the founder & director of Makeology, a growing community of crafts-people that was born out of her passion to help supporting makers and entrepreneurs. Since its inception Makeology has expanded into the event space hosting, workshops, conference, and local curated craft fairs. Melissa is also the creative mind behind Milo&Ben.  She currently lives in Milton with her husband and twin boys Wesley and Elliott. She currently has 16+K followers and growing online community of makers and small business owners.

Tristan O'Brien

Tristan O’Brien is a self taught shooter born and raised in Toronto, Canada. Specializing in lifestyle and sportswear photography, Tristan has also spent a lot of time behind the lens shooting product photography for clients such as Nike, Adidas, Heineken, McDonald’s, Ray-Ban, Toronto Raptors and many more. Tristan is currently touring the country to speak about the importance of photography to entrepreneurs and business owners.

Pierrette Masimango

Pierrette Masimango is a Toronto-based portrait photographer that works with women from all walks of life to provide editorial portraits for personal and professional use. Whether the images are for a new website, social media profile or simply for fun, Pierrette works with her clients to make them feel the most beautiful they have ever felt. Her goal is to help women ditch their hang ups and leave her photo shoots more confident than when they arrived. As a photography instructor, Pierrette has recentlyappeared in a series of videos for Canon Canada teaching various camera and photography basics.
